After academic year 2009-2010, which saw Harvard’s Palestine Solidarity Committee challenge Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren and join a coalition of student groups to condemn racist statements made by WCFIA Fellow Martin Kramer, as well as numerous other events aimed at creating awareness and solidarity at Harvard, the PSC readies to begin yet another year.

The sun setting over Temple Mount, the Dome of the Rock, and Jerusalem. June 2010.

It may be an important year for Palestine, as the BDS movement routinely adds success stories, and talks begin yet again between Abbas and Netanyahu while Hamas remains excluded. For the PSC, it will be another year of solidarity and challenging abuses of human rights occurring in Palestine. We begin the new academic year ambitiously, aiming to elevate the role of Harvard and Cambridge in the struggle for equality, justice and peace.
